LEADERSHIP

Bill grew up in upstate New York and began rowing during his first year at Georgia Tech in 1991. The following year, he transferred to the University of Tennessee, where he rowed for Tennessee Crew from 1992 to 1995 and served as team president.

After graduating, Bill continued his involvement in rowing through coaching, leading the Knoxville Rowing Association junior program from 1996 to 2003 and coaching Tennessee Crew from 1998 to 2004 and again in 2008. In 2008, he moved to Kansas, where he coached the Topeka Rowing Association junior program from 2011 to 2014.

Bill returned to Knoxville in 2015 and has served as Tennessee Crew’s Head Coach since. Outside of rowing, Bill works as a software engineer at Pilot Company.
